Obersteinbach is located in the immediate vicinity of the German and Lorraine borders, embedded in unspoilt nature with a lot of forest and various sandstone formations. A classic single-street village with lots of half-timbered houses, situated directly on the German-French Castle Trail.
On site there are:
two restaurants,
a mobile baker (Mon-Thu and Sat approx. 8.45 am),
a mobile butcher (Fri afternoons/evenings), and also
a goat's cheese dairy, which is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm and offers excellent ice cream in addition to its normal range of also excellent cheeses during the summer months.
A mobile hairdresser is on site every second Tuesday.
Obersteinbach also has a children's playground, a riding club and a small castle museum. Furthermore, two public charging stations for e-cars are available a few minutes' walk from the holiday home.
The nearest shopping facility is in Lembach, about 10km away. Within a radius of approx. 25km, you will find various supermarkets and discount stores on both the German and French sides.
